Perspective

Lessons From Years in Search

Successful SEO rarely comes from chasing shortcuts or individual tactics. Most meaningful results come from understanding users, solving information architecture problems and consistently executing the fundamentals.

Rankings are not business outcomes.
Technical SEO cannot compensate for weak content.
Internal linking is chronically underestimated.
SEO is increasingly an information retrieval discipline.
Most SEO wins come from execution, not tactics.
AI is changing discovery, not eliminating search.
Thinking

How I Think About Search

Technologies will evolve
User expectations will evolve
Search interfaces will evolve
Discoverability remains

Search has always been an information retrieval problem. Whether users interact through Google, ChatGPT, Gemini or future AI systems, the underlying challenge remains the same: helping people discover relevant, trustworthy and useful information.

The technologies will evolve. User expectations will evolve. Search interfaces will evolve. But the need for discoverability will remain.

My work focuses on understanding those changes and sharing practical insights along the way.

Personal

Beyond Work

Outside of SEO, I enjoy cycling and maintaining an active lifestyle. Long-distance rides have taught me many of the same lessons that apply to professional growth.

Consistency matters more than intensity. Progress comes from continuous improvement. Meaningful results take time. Occasionally I’ll share those lessons here too.
